Learning Disabilities Association of Halton provide assistance to people with learning disabilities and their families. They offer information, parent support and tutoring programs. Having served the Halton area for over twenty five years it made sense they start serving the Hamilton area as well when the local chapter disbanded five years ago.
This year they held their first annual conference called Solutions for Learning. The conference helped to increase awareness of research based instruction for all children, improved the quality of instruction for school aged children with learning disabilities, increased the organizations volunteer base and raised funds to support the programs they run.
Allegra through the FootPRINT Fund helped to launch the first conference with a great portable banner. The banner will be used year over year to promote the conference as well as promote the organization.
